3 Critically Injured After Skydiving Plane Crashes in New Jersey

NEW JERSEY – Tragedy struck in southern New Jersey when a skydiving plane carrying 15 people crashed shortly after takeoff, leaving three individuals fighting for their lives.

The incident occurred at a small regional airport during what was supposed to be a routine skydiving flight. Witnesses say the plane had just lifted off the runway when it suddenly lost altitude and crashed near the edge of the airfield.

Emergency services rushed to the scene, where first responders were seen pulling survivors from the wreckage and airlifting the critically injured to nearby trauma centers. Authorities have confirmed that three passengers remain in critical condition, while several others sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

“The scene was chaotic but handled with incredible professionalism,” said one witness, who watched rescue helicopters land directly on the runway to evacuate the injured.

The aircraft, reportedly a twin-engine model commonly used for skydiving operations, appeared to have suffered mechanical issues shortly after takeoff, though officials have not confirmed the exact cause.

The FAA and NTSB are currently investigating the crash.

The skydiving company involved has temporarily suspended all operations and issued a statement expressing deep concern for the victims and their families.

“We are cooperating fully with authorities and focusing on supporting those affected,” the company said.

Locals and fellow skydiving enthusiasts have taken to social media to send prayers and support to those involved. “It’s a terrifying reminder of how quickly things can go wrong,” one experienced jumper posted. “We’re all hoping for a full recovery for those hurt.”

As of now, the identities of the victims have not been publicly released.
